Here's an update on what we did last Sunday:
We continued our series on Friends talking about comparing ourselves to others. We looked at the friendships the disciples had with one another, particularly Peter, James, and John, and we discovered that friends have been comparing themselves since Biblical times.
We talked about several Bible stories, including:
- When Jesus first discipled Peter, James, and John in Mark 1:16-20
- When Jesus took Peter, James, and John up to the mountain in Mark 9
- When James and John asked Jesus if they could sit at his right and left in Mark 10
This Sunday we will be starting our last session in Friends, discussing identity and how that plays a role in our friendships.
Youth will not need their white binders this week, but they will need Bibles. If your youth does not have a Bible, let me know and we will get him/her one.
Please remember to bring $3/youth for lunch if you are able.
See you on Sunday!!
